How Adam Phones offered a lifeline to businesses during the pandemic

The Brief

During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, UK businesses faced uncertainty as the first lockdown began and their employees could no longer safely visit the office. Though some companies were equipped with the infrastructure to operate remotely, many relied on the essential equipment housed in offices to continue functioning effectively.

The financial services, legal and hospitality industries who relied on fixed landline services to connect representatives and customers were suddenly faced with little or no access to office infrastructure, and businesses were at risk of failing to meet the needs of their customers.

Knowing the importance of staying connected throughout the pandemic, telecommunications service provider, Adam Phones, began offering short term tariffs at discounted rates to support businesses faced with implementing continuity programmes during lockdown. onebite was tasked with creating a short term marketing campaign that would increase awareness of the support-offer to Adam Phones’ new and existing customers.

The Process

The month-long campaign interacted with existing Adam Phones customers and new prospects within the financial services, legal and hospitality industries looking for solutions that would support business continuity during the lockdown. Communication to both audiences promoted Adam Phones’ leading service offering while also demonstrating its understanding of the uncertainty that came with the pandemic – ultimately driving customer retention and new business prospects for the company.

The Execution

The awareness campaign was launched to existing customers via tailored email communications and to new prospects through targeted paid (and organic) social media content directing prospects to a dedicated landing page and contact form. Additionally, supporting material was created for Adam Phones’ sales team to ensure consistency across all communications during the campaign.

The Results

Thanks to a timely execution, Adam Phones was able to connect directly with its customers and prospects at the right moment and achieve impressive engagement for the campaign.
