We’re excited to announce the appointment of Lewis Houghton, who has joined our creative team as a Junior Designer. Today, we sit down with Lewis for a quick catch up, where we learn about his journey into marketing, how he spends his time outside of work, and the one song that best reflects his working day.
Did you always want to work in marketing?
No, because for a long time I didn’t really know what it was, and graphic design was never on my radar. Thank goodness I found it when I did though as I really enjoy doing it as my day job!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I remember wanting to be a teacher when I first started school, but after working with children and dating teachers in the past… I still don’t know how anyone can cope in that profession! I’d like to tell my 5 year old self it wasn’t a good choice.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
You will find me reading, writing or illustrating children’s books. Since lockdown ended I’m really enjoying going to the theatre again, I didn’t realise how much I missed it over the past year.
Which song best reflects your working day?
The theme from S-Express by S’Express, not every single day, but most days this is the first song I play. It always puts me in a good mood and makes me happy as it’s hard not to bop your head along to the beat. One of the best things about working from home is being able to listen to your own music.
